PowerPoint Tutorial: Emphasis Custom Animation
The “emphasis” animation creates an effect on the text, picture or object that is already shown in the slide.
Step 1: Select the text, picture or object.

Step 2: Right click on the select text, picture or object and choose the “Custom Animation” tab.

Step3: In the “Custom Animation” column on the right, click on “Add Effect”. Then, choose the “Emphasis” tab. Here, you will a list of your recently used Emphasis effects. You can view all the effects available by clicking the “More Effect” tab.

Step 4: Choose the Emphasis effect that fits your need. As you click on the specific animation effect, you will be able to preview the result as well.

Step 5: Here, I have chosen the “Change Font Style” effect to bold the selected text.

As you click on your mouse, the bullet point is bold.

You can set timing for the “Emphasis” animation effects as well. You go through the same process as you set the timed “Entrance” animation effects. Please refer to Entrance Custom Animation Part II - Timed Animation for demonstration.
